What We Believe

We believe in the Trinity – the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.

Transformation (654) w blurWe believe in the crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus Christ, whereby we, as sinners, could be saved and be reconciled to God the Father.

We believe in Baptism by immersion as demonstrated by our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. We further believe in the baptism as an outward sign of an inward transformation or grace.

We believe in the Lord’s Supper as an ordinance given by Jesus for His Church.

We also believe that transformation is possible for all who are in Christ and who believe by faith, that they can be transformed. Transformation comes by renewing the mind with the Word of God and by surrounding oneself with “like minded” others in service and in fellowship on a consistent basis.

This is a church where individuals can discover their spiritual gifts and develop and spiritually grow.

This is a church where the message of God is preached and the mission of God is paramount.

This is a church where the name of God is exalted and the people of God are empowered.

This is a church where the Word of God is declared and the will of God is desired

Our History

In the summer of 2003, a seed of faith was planted in the heart of Reverend Ripton A. Stewart. God gave him a vision for a ministry and the name for this ministry, “Transformation Temple Christian Church.”

God later showed Rev. Stewart that this new ministry was to be formed in the city of Milwaukee. On April 13, 2004, the first official organizational meeting was held in the living room of the Stewart home. At this meeting, a gathering of twelve adults (and five children) began planning the start of a new ministry. On Sunday, June 13, 2004, Transformation Temple held its first worship service, at the Latvian House, 8845 West Lynx. On this day, eight people joined the founding members to carry out the mission and vision of ministry designed to “transform lives from the inside out.”

The church later adopted the Church Covenant and Articles of Faith according to the New Hampshire Declaration of Faith, drafted its bylaws and obtained its incorporation and its 501(c)(3)(nonprofit) status. The excitement was high and the favor of God was evident. On Sunday, January 9, 2005 an organizational ceremony and investiture service was held at which time Reverend Stewart was officially installed as pastor of Transformation Temple. Pastor Steven W. McVicker, of Koinonia Baptist Church, Milwaukee, Wisconsin, officiated the service. Pastor John W. McVicker, of Christ the King Church, Milwaukee, Wisconsin, preached the installation message and Pastor Joe A. Games, of Providence Baptist Church, Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and President of the Wisconsin General Baptist State Convention Inc. was presented with the church’s Statement of Organization. On their first anniversary, the church began “The Nehemiah Project,” a giving campaign designed to prepare for further advancement of God’s plan for their ministry. On May 21, 2006, Transformation Temple held a special dedication for the opening of their first business office at 4319 North 76th Street, in Milwaukee. In October, 2006 Pastor and First Lady Cynthia were inducted into the Association of Independent Ministries (AIM) under the spiritual mentorship of Drs. I.V. and Bridget Hilliard, in Houston Texas,

During their 3rd year, a special emphasis was placed on the Great Commission and its call upon each of us to go out and share the gospel of Jesus Christ with those who do not know Him. This concerted teaching coupled with a strong focus on faith has empowered the church to have real impact on the community.

On Sunday, May 6, 2007, after much prayer and deliberation, Pastor Stewart again obeyed God’s direction and announced to the congregation that Transformation Temple would now move forward as a Non- Denominational church.  Its name was refined to reflect this – “Transformation Temple Christian Church.”

God has continued to show His favor and blessings upon the ministry of Transformation Temple. Over 241 individuals have joined this church family to help carry out God’s plan of transformation for their lives and the community.

Today we celebrate and reflect on how God rewards great acts of faith and we prove on a daily basis that Transformation Temple Christian Church is “A Church Like No Other!”
